What this site is

An independent, unofficial tool for searching public Troy School District Board of Education records, with AI-generated summaries, meeting transcripts, and an optional question-answering service ("Ask the Archive"). It is not affiliated with, operated by, or endorsed by the Troy School District. Using the site means you accept these terms.

Accounts and approval

Ask the Archive requires registration and manual approval by the site owner, granted or revoked at the owner's sole discretion, without notice or reason.
Provide accurate registration information; sign-in codes are sent to your registered number or email address — don't share them, and keep that contact detail yours.
Questions may be reviewed and approved or declined by a human moderator before answering.

Text messages

If you give a mobile number and tick the consent box when registering, you agree to receive one-time sign-in codes by text from the Troy SD Archive (tsd-boarddocs.karpowitsch.org). They are sent only in response to a sign-in you have started — roughly two to four messages a month. We never send marketing or promotional texts.

Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

To stop: reply STOP to any message. You will still be able to sign in — codes go to your email address instead.

Agreeing to texts is optional. It is not a condition of registration, of approval, or of using this site.

Acceptable use

The Q&A service answers questions about the Troy School District and its Board of Education only; off-topic questions are declined automatically.
Don't abuse the service: no attempts to bypass rate limits or moderation, no automated scraping of the Q&A, no attempts to make the assistant act outside its purpose, and no unlawful, harassing, or deceptive use.
Rate limits (question length, open-question and daily caps) may change at any time.

AI-generated content

Answers, summaries, and transcripts are generated by AI from public records. They may contain errors, omissions, or misattributions — including transcription and speaker-labeling mistakes. They are provided for convenience only, are not legal, financial, or official advice, and are not statements by the Troy School District. Always verify against the cited source documents and the district's official records before relying on anything here.

The records themselves

Source documents remain public records of their originating public body. Meeting recordings are embedded from YouTube. Summaries, transcripts, and other derivative artifacts on this site are provided as-is for public-interest reference.

No warranty; limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, and may change, break, or shut down at any time. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any damages arising from use of the site or reliance on its content.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.
